RFC Account (Resident Foreign Currency)
South Indian Bank’s RFC Account is designed for Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) returning to India after a minimum of one year abroad. This account enables returning NRIs to hold and manage their foreign currency earnings, ensuring easy repatriation, flexibility, and continued financial security.
Maintain deposits in USD, GBP, AUD, CHF, JPY, and EURO.
Credit funds from foreign bank accounts, investments, pensions, and NRE/FCNR(B) balances.
Funds can be repatriated or transferred to NRE/FCNR(B) accounts if the account holder becomes an NRI again.
Balance can be used for bona fide expenses like international travel and children’s education abroad.
